I'm really sorry part two has taken so long, I've been busy trying to catch up with work whilst juggling school holidays. Finally I have got my head above water and I'm determined to keep the posts coming.

A long awaited Paris Part Two.

One of my favourite things to do in Paris (apart from drinking Vin Rouge and eating Crepes), is visiting the amazing antique markets, better known as flea markets. The most famous is at Porte de Clignancourt, officially called Les Puces de Saint-Ouen but known to everyone as Les Puces (The Fleas). It is massive, in fact it's the largest antique market in the world. There is so much to take in, I literally can't hold a conversation in English or broken French without gasping in excitement between each blink, it's seriously random and bloody brilliant!

Paris

I was talking to a lady from a local paper about my recent trip and she said she had attempted to find it but got lost, so here's a little route planner.

Take the metro to Porte de Clignancourt on line 4, when you exit the metro you have to walk alongside a modern market (this will be on your left), cross the road and follow the market through until you are transported back in time.

WARNING be streetwise, this is a world famous market, it attracts a lot of visitors and therefore you can expect pick-pocketers. The first time I visited, I found the modern market a bit intimidating but once I'd crossed that road and made it to the antique part I felt absolutely fine.

Saturday and Sundays are the best days to go and the earlier the better, you'll need all the time you can get and be aware a lot of the stalls/ shops close for lunch.

Saturday 9.00 - 18.00

Sunday 10.00 - 18.00

I tried to whip my camera out as much as I could but the stall holders get funny and I got shouted at a few times. Deciding a trail of shouting, unhappy stall holders was not a good look so decided little is more. This seriously is a small taster of what this fascinating maze of gutt wrenching nostaglia has to offer.

So many lights on offer, everywhere you look!!
